Headquartered in Bryn Mawr, Essential Utilities (formerly known as Aqua America) was founded by a group of Swarthmore College professors in 1886 and today provides water and wastewater services to approximately three million people in ten states while continuing to grow.

Database Administrator II

This position reviews and designs database structures to support business requirements, including logical and physical database modeling; installs, configures, and maintains database instances; and develops and implements database security consistent with company guidelines.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology; four to seven years of related experience in database administration; and a minimum of five years of experience with database design, programming, and Oracle / SQL Server.

Employee and Labor Relations Manager

This position advises human resources business partners and managers on employee relations and labor matters; administers and manages administration of labor contracts; provides interpretation of labor contracts to managers, employees, and HR staff; and negotiates labor contracts.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related discipline; a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in employee relations, collective bargaining, and labor relations; and effective conflict resolution skills.

Security Engineer I (Risk and Compliance)

This position leads ongoing risk analysis, risk assessment, and remediation plans; leads or assists with vendor and third-party risk assessments; analyzes findings and documents and reports program gaps to appropriate leadership; and analyzes and addresses threat intelligence and vulnerabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or a related discipline; a minimum of five to ten years of relevant information technology related experience; and experience leading risk, vulnerability, and compliance analysis efforts.
