Plymouth Meeting’s Ilera Healthcare presented a documentary on veterans whose lives have been improved by medical cannabis at the Plymouth Community Center.

Last Friday, Plymouth Meeting-based Ilera Healthcare screened a documentary on veterans whose lives have been improved by medical cannabis at the Plymouth Community Center, writes Gary Puleo for The Times Herald.

The documentary “Unprescribed,” which was previously shown at the San Francisco Veterans Film Festival, was viewed by a small audience of medical professionals, veterans, and veterans’ advocates.

The movie offered interviews with veterans who openly talk about the toxic arsenal of drugs prescribed to them by military doctors and the contrast provided by cannabis, which ultimately saved their lives.

These veterans are currently on the frontlines of the battle to institute an intelligent policy on the use of medical marijuana at the federal level.

Following the screening, a panel of guests discussed the movie with the audience and presented stories from fellow veterans, spouses, and family members on coping with injuries, addiction, and in some cases tragic loss due to suicide.

“It is imperative to hold events like Ilera did this evening to educate and help end the stigma as it relates to medical cannabis and CBD,” said Christina DiArcangelo, CEO of Affinity Bio Partners.
