The Scent & Sip Fragrance Lab in Lansdale lets visitors enjoy some wholesome fun while mixing scents for fragrances until they find their perfect one, writes Vittoria Woodill for the CBS Philly.
The lab allows customers to create everything from scented candles to custom soaps. The results are sometimes too good, said Jen Burnley, who runs the business with her family.
“It always makes me sad when somebody will come back and they go ‘I couldn’t light the candle because it smelled so good!’” said Burnley. “I know, but it’s what it’s there for!“
Customers begin by picking from several of the available fragrances and squeezing them until they can smell their favorite combination.
“We have 160 fragrances give or take depending on the season and most people end up combining two to four of them together to make whatever they want,“ said Burnley.
For the autumn season, customers can choose from Pumpkin Chai, Sweet Potato Pie, and Autumn Air, among many others.
Once their fragrance is created, it is time to make the soap or candle. The product is then finished off with a hand-made label.
