Montgomery County is home to 10 of the region’s 50 wealthiest ZIP Codes, according to research conducted by Sharon Oliver for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The rankings were determined by median household income in 2017. Additional data included:

• per-capita income
• median value of owner-occupied homes
• the percentage breakdowns for workers with management, business or science, or art jobs
• racial/ethnic population
• education attainment profiles

These statistics were obtained from the five-year version of the U.S. Bureau’s 2017 American Community Survey.

Merion Station topped the list with a median household income of $198,828, and Gladwyne followed close behind at No. 2 with $195,862.

Next is Wynnewood at No. 16 with $130,192 in median household income, then Dresher at No. 19 with $126,705.

Narberth, Blue Bell, Fort Washington, Collegeville, and Lafayette Hill are Nos. 29-33, respectively.

Bala Cynwyd rounded out the Montgomery County ZIP Codes in the Top 50, checking in at No. 37.
