Win Signature Restaurants, which operates four restaurants on the Main Line, has opened its fifth location, The Blue Elephant, in Pottstown last Friday, writes Donna Rovins for the Reading Eagle.

“We are so excited to be in Pottstown,” said Pearl Somboonsong, director of development for Win Signature Restaurants and daughter of the restaurant’s owners, Win and Sutida Somboonsong.

The new eatery is located in the former home of The Brick House Restaurant, which closed its doors two years ago. Somboonsong participated in all aspects of the creation of the family’s latest restaurant, including design, renovations, and hiring.

One of the inspirations for the new space was to bring the outside in. This is why the restaurant boasts a fountain inside its premises along with a variety of plants. The new space also has a 30-foot long quartz bar.

Overall, the main goal was to make the restaurant comfortable.

“We want people to feel they have walked into a grand palace, and we want them to feel very comfortable and at home,” said Somboonsong. “There is something for everyone here.”

The food at the restaurant is mainly an Italian-Thai twist, with Japanese and French influences.
