The Works, a Wyomissing-based restaurant and entertainment facility, is planning to open its second location near West Chester, writes Brad Rhen for the Reading Eagle.

Owner Chip White said he could not disclose the exact site because the lease is not finalized yet. But he said he has signed a letter of intent on the new location.

He hopes to begin construction in January and open the facility by mid-2020.

“The landlords are excited,” he said. “We showed them our model, and it was us or a Lowe’s, and they said, ‘We want to do this.'”

The new location will include a restaurant with live music and outdoor dining space.

Also included in the plans are an arcade, eight axe-throwing lanes, a trampoline center, and a Ballocity structure. There will also be a ninja warrior-type course for children, indoor and outdoor mini-golf, paintball area, laser tag and Nerf guns, pool tables, and shuffleboard.

Additionally, the new facility will have extra seating to allow it to host numerous parties at the same time.

“We’re hoping to do 20 to 30 parties at a time there, which is way more than we do currently,” said White.
