New Netflix Competition Show Features Conshohocken Contestant — Or Maybe That’s Miami?
The Feb. 14 Netflix premier of Perfect Match, a relationship-based reality show, features a Montgomery County native as a contestant. Mads Lennon covered him for Fansided.
Perfect Match is a competition show whose concept tosses together former cast members from other, similar reality programs — Love Is Blind, Too Hot to Handle — to see if love evolves.
In a promo clip, a contestant calls it “Hunger Games for dating.”
One occupant of the rainforest-adjacent mansion in Panama City, the show’s setting this season, is local resident Mitchell Eason.
He’s been through this kind of experience before.
Eason was a Season 2 contestant on The Circle, which isolated players in an apartment building and enabled them to connect only online.
Perhaps to create a more appealing aura, he told cast-mates he was from Miami, rather than home-town Conshohocken.
The ruse didn’t serve him very well; he was “ blocked” (this show’s parallel to Survivor’s vote-off) after seven episodes.
When he’s not on Netflix, Eason works as a model, a career he took on after exiting the landscaping business.
He’s also one of three Easons looking for a reality-television career; his mother and brother were on The Circle Season One.
More on Perfect Match and its local contestant is at Fansided.
