Eight Montgomery County towns made the list of the 50 hottest Philadelphia neighborhoods and nearby towns recently published by the Philadelphia Magazine.

To compile the list of the Philadelphia region’s priciest places and most expensive neighborhoods for the last year, Philadelphia Magazine used data from the HomExpert Market Report, released by the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach Research Division.

The highest-ranked Montgomery County place is Gladwyne, which took the top spot with an average home price of $1,110,456 for 2019. This represents an 18 percent increase over the previous year.

Next is Merion Station at No. 13 with a $708,490 average home price for the last year, closely followed by Bryn Mawr at No. 14 with an average of $705,456. Lower Merion Township also made the top 20 at No. 16 with a $676,916 average. All three towns recorded an increase in their average price compared to the previous year.

Lower Gwynedd Township came next at No. 29, followed by Narberth Borough at No.33. The list is rounded off by Wynnewood at No. 35 and Whitpain Township at No. 48.
