Valley Forge Toursim & Convention Board took the opportunity to announce a sponsors exemption for the 2nd annual Valley Forge Invitational to showcase another hidden gem in Montco.

The Carousel at Pottstown was the site of a press conference hosted by VFTCB, where Ashley Grier, of Hagerstown, MD, told the crowd she was excited to be playing in the area.

While Hagerstown, MD may not seem ‘local,’ remember, the Symetra Tour, which is dubbed the Road to the LPGA, has tournaments all around the country.

VFTCB Chief Marketing Officer Ed Harris kicked off the event with a few words about the event, and the financial impact on the area.

Last year’s event had a $1 million impact, with 600 hotel room nights, thousands of visitors in Montco, along with $17,500 being donated to local charities designated by the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation, the event’s lead sponsor along with VFTCB.

The Valley Forge Invitational is being held again this year at Raven’s Claw Golf Club in Limerick Township from May 28 to June 2.
