Nearly three dozen vendors join Elmwood Park Zoo as it hosts its seventh annual “Party for the Planet” event Saturday, April 27, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Party for the Planet features an “Earth Expo” where guests can peruse green and eco-friendly offerings from businesses and organizations, such as Kimberton Whole Foods, the Clear Air Council, The Academy of Natural Sciences, oma Herbal Teas, and more. In addition to the Earth Expo, the zoo’s Education Department will be holding a number of pop-up activities throughout the zoo, including a Worm Composting Workshop aimed at teaching guests about the benefits of vermicomposting and its positive impacts on the environment. The workshop takes place inside the zoo’s Discovery Center Classroom, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Registration is available on the zoo’s website at eventsatepz.com.
Party for the Planet is the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ signature Earth Day celebration, and the largest combined Earth Day celebration in North America.
Party for the Planet is free to attend with regular zoo admission.
