Montco home to 15 of the Top 50 private high schools in greater Philadelphia

Private education is flourishing in Montgomery County.

Montco is home to 15 of the Top 50 Private High Schools in Greater Philadelphia, according to the latest rankings published by Niche.com, writes Clara Lefton for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Niche.com calculated its rankings based on academic and student life data, along with test scores, college data, and ratings from millions of users.

Among the categories weighed were Composite SAT/ACT Score, Top Colleges Score, College Enrollment, and Culture & Diversity.

The Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, with 584 students and an annual tuition of $37,250, checked in as the number 2 private school in the region.

With 525 students and a yearly tuition of $59,050, The Hill School in Pottstown placed 19th.

Rounding out the top 5 was Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, with 1,155 students and tuition of $35,515.
