It’s said that opposites attract, and in this particular case, students will most definitely benefit from that draw.

Cradles to Crayons, a Conshohocken charity that modestly engages in its humble mission year-round has teamed up with a King of Prussia business that has the bold, charismatic image to attract plenty of attention to its cause. King of Prussia Mall is hosting a back-to-school donation drive with Cradles to Crayon, a nonprofit dedicated to providing essential items to children who are homeless or living in low-income situations, writes Gary Puleo in The Times Herald.

Shoppers and residents are encouraged to donate such items as new backpacks and supplies, gently worn clothings, shoes and any other student needs now through August 12. Donations can be dropped off at several locations across the mall including, Simon Concierge in the expansion corridor behind Tiffany & Co. and Simon Guests Services on the lower level near Pottery Barn.

Several King of Prussia Mall retailers are offering discounts to customers who make donations during the drive; participating brands will promote their involvement by placing window “clings” in store windows. Additionally, retailers including Victoria’s Secret, Vera Bradley, PINK, California Pizza Kitchen, Claire’s and Icing are all accepting donations at their stores, along with offering special discounts to those who donate.
