WHAT: Philadelphians and tourists visiting local landmarks on Tuesday, June 5 will be treated to a special appearance and performance by Cirque du Soleil’s  amazing Unicycle Duo, where one unicyclist will balance another performer overhead, in front of some of Philadelphia’s most famous and iconic landmarks and tourist attractions. Performers from VOLTA, Cirque du Soleil’s new Big Top production coming to Philadelphia this summer, will be visiting the City in advance to stir up some excitement and breathtaking stunts atop a unicycle!

Cirque du Soleil’s VOLTA Opens on July 12

Cirque du Soleil will bring its new Big Top production, VOLTA, to the Greater Philadelphia area this summer!  Cirque du Soleil’s VOLTATM will be presented under the Big Top next to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, minutes from the King of Prussia Mall, starting July 12th, 2018. VOLTA marks the first Big Top production to visit the Philadelphia area in five years.

VOLTA – The show

The name VOLTA refers to a sudden about-face, a change in emotion or idea. It also speaks to the jolt of energy delivered through the show.  VOLTA tells a spellbinding story about the freedom to choose and the thrill of blazing your own trail. Inspired in part by the adventurous spirit that fuels the culture of streets sports and performances, the show weaves the adrenaline rush of acrobatics into a visually striking world driven by a stirring melodic score.
