HGTV Channel’s popular real estate show “House Hunters” hit close to home when a local couple was featured during their home search.The story of how Liz  and Jared Trout found their dream home aired Friday.

“It was a really cool experience to document the house hunting,” Trout said. Part of the fun was having family and friends involved in the filming, which included scenes shot at her parents’ (Ed & Karen Deeny) home in Souderton, she said. The episode title is “New Jersey Transplants Look for a Home in Pennsylvania, writes Bob Keeler in The Lansdale Reporter.
