On Sat., Dec. 9th, from 9am to 1pm at the Norristown Police Department (235 Airy St. Norristown, PA 19401) the Norristown Police, Norristown School District and Servpro of Norristown/Manayunk are partnering for our 2nd Annual Christmas in Norristown where 100 local families in need will be given Christmas trees and food gift card.  The PD will work with the Norristown School District, Family Services and other city departments to help select the 100 local Norristown families and invite them down to the tree giveaway where their kids can select a tree to take home.

There will be:

*   A Christmas tree lot set up for kids/families to roam and select a tree.
*   Food gift cards given to accompany the tree (this is new this year)
*   Free hot chocolate and cookies.
*   Police offices out helping families tie up trees to the cars and engaging with the public.
*   City of Norristown will be helping get the trees home to the families

Last year was incredibly successful and extremely emotional.  The police officers had football catches, leg races, and let the kids play with the K-9 dogs.  There were a lot of thankful tears from thankful families for this opportunity.  We would love to have you out so you can share this awesome event with the public and spread some Christmas cheer this year.
