Already known for its culinary adventures, bustling business district, and thriving residential neighborhoods, the beautiful, bustling borough of Conshohocken is about to take center stage, yet again, as it adds one more title to its list – music mecca.

MoreThanTheCurve.com and The Greater Conshohocken Business & Development Corporation (LoveConshy) have announced details for the Inaugural Conshohocken Music Festival, which will take over A. A. Garthwaite Stadium on Saturday, June 24 starting at 1 PM.

Presented by GMH Mortgage Services and The Courts at Spring Mill Station, this much-anticipated event will be a day-long, family-friendly affair that includes music by local and national artists, including Conshohocken natives Marah, who will be headlining the festival.

.

Marah’s performance will be somewhat of a homecoming for brothers Dave and Serge Bielanko, who grew up in Conshohocken and have spent years touring the U.S. and abroad, sharing the stage some of the biggest names in the industry, including Bruce Springsteen.

Yet, according to Serge Bielanko, performing in his hometown has always been his dream.

“We used to have a garage band with our friends who we grew up with in Conshy,” he said. “We often fantasized about someday playing a big summer show at the ‘A Field.’ We’d talk and talk about it, about how magical that night would be, if and when, it finally ever happened. This is, in every sense of the word, a dream come true for a couple of Conshy guys.”

Rounding out the event’s lineup is a “who’s who” list of entertainers, including other notable Conshy artists The Boatloads and Vince Zeller. And starting at 6:45 PM, regional favorites Coast To Coast and The Sofa Kings will be on hand to prep the audience for Marah.

The Conshohocken Music Festival isn’t just for the adults. According to Event Director Kevin Tierney, it was important that the entire event be family friendly, which is why the day kicks off with a show just for the kids at 1:45 PM with a performance by Lolly & YoYo, followed by leading Philadelphia Folk act Sparkle Pony at 3 PM.

The gates open at 1 PM, and there will be a Kids Section featuring bounce houses, instruments to play with, and more. The Kids Area and the performance by Lolly & YoYo are sponsored by John Kennedy Mazda and Ford of Conshohocken.

Attendees are invited to bring beach chairs and blankets and spread out on the football field to enjoy the show. There will be beer, wine, great food, and treats for sale.

Here is the schedule of performances for the day:

  • 1 PM: The First Notes
  • 1:45 PM: Lolly & YoYo
  • 3 PM: Sparkle Pony
  • 4:15 PM: The Boatloads
