Conshohocken’s Lisa Kramer is helping people strengthen both their professional and personal lives through her role as executive coach and yoga instructor, writes Constance Garcia-Barrio for Chestnut Hill Local.

After growing up in Long Island, Kramer majored in psychology at the University of Maryland before getting a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania. This allowed her to work in a variety of related areas before accepting a full-time position at Widener University’s Center for Social Work Education.

However, ten years into her teaching career, Kramer decided to branch out into executive coaching. To achieve this, she switched to teaching part-time, founded Leading with Intention and studied coaching at the Coaches Training Institute. This led her to taking on a part-time coaching position at Wharton School as part of Wharton’s Executive Leadership Program.

“A woman may need to heighten her executive presence so that in meetings she comes across as confident,” said Kramer.

To round out her already packed schedule, she is also using her years of experience practicing yoga to teach yoga part-time at Chestnut Hill’s Healing Arts Studio.

“I’ve re-invented myself several times,” said Kramer. “It’s a shame to let fear get in the way of changing your life.”
