Alan Miller, Chairman and CEO of King of Prussia’s Universal Health Services was the highest paid health industry CEO last year, making over $51 million, writes Ayla Ellison for Becker’s Hospital Review.

The amount includes Miller’s base salary, realized gains on stocks and options, and incentive compensation, along with payment for perks and personal benefits.

UHS showed strong financial performance for last year, with recorded net income of $702.4 million and revenues of $9.8 billion. Both numbers were up from the previous year, when the for-profit hospital operator had net income of $680.5 million and revenues of $9.04 billion.
