GVF and KOP-BID Leading Montgomery County Annual Holiday Food Drive

Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association and King of Prussia District hope to exceed the 1,800 pounds of food collected in 2015's annual food drive.

Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association and King of Prussia District are rolling up their sleeves again to help combat hunger with their sixth Annual Holiday Food Drive, writes Gary Puleo for The Times Herald.

Several other Upper Merion businesses have also joined the drive which runs until December 31. They have set up collection sites that aim to receive 1,000 pounds of food over the holidays.

The donated goods will benefit Philabundance, a nonprofit organization which provides close to 90,000 people throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey communities with food every week. The organizers are looking for donations of nonperishable items.

Anyone interested in helping can find collection sites throughout King of Prussia, including GVF office at 1012 Eighth Ave., King of Prussia District at 234 Mall Blvd., Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel at 480 N. Gulph Road, and King of Prussia Town Center at 155 Village Drive.

“I am continuously amazed at the generosity of our partners and the local business community,” said GVF Executive Director, Rob Henry. “It is truly wonderful to see so much food going to those in need.”
