New Housing Community Planned in Montgomery County

W.B. Homes is planning to build 84 cottage-style houses on 27 acres of recently purchased land off the Route 422 Corridor in Limerick, writes Natalie Kostelni for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The developer bought the parcel that faces the Spring Ford Country Club and overlooks the golf course for $3.75 million from Country Club Views II, a limited liability corporation affiliated with DL Group of Pottstown.

The purchase was an important find for W.B. Homes, as it has been difficult for developers to source land that has already been approved for development. According to Bill Bonenberger, founder of W.B. Homes, this is one of the key issues facing the industry right now.

The gated community will target buyers who are in their mid to late 40s through the 70s that are looking to downsize, but are not yet ready to move into an age-restricted community.

While the developer has not yet determined the price, Bonenberger said that the company expects to begin construction of the model home before the end of the year.
