Radial, King of Prussia’s e-commerce technology and operations company, is looking to fill 20,000 seasonal positions to cover increased traffic over the holiday shopping season, writes Michelle Caffrey for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Radial, founded earlier this year by the merger of eBay Enterprises and e-commerce company Innotrac, runs 26 fulfillment centers across the country. The majority of the jobs are for picking and packing products during the holiday onslaught.

While the job boost will not bring new positions to Philadelphia or its surrounding area, the hiring spree is a direct result of the Montgomery County company’s own growth, said Chief Strategy Officer Stefan Weitz.

He added that the demand for e-commerce seasonal workers is also swelling due to Radial’s commercial partners seeing a marked rise in online purchasing activity.

“Our retailers that we work with are projecting an increase in sales,” he said. “We’ve just seen year over year that this industry is seeing more e-commerce as people enjoy the convenience of shopping online.”
