Cunningham Piano, one of the oldest piano companies in the world, is relocating its Philadelphia store and opening a second location across from the King of Prussia Mall, writes Kenneth Hilario for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Founded in 1891, Cunningham started out making pianos by hand, a tradition it continues today and also now offers other well-known brands, while providing rebuilding and restoration services.

The first step is relocating its original showroom in Germantown to a place just around the corner. The company will then focus on completing its second 5,500-square-foot facility and showroom in King of Prussia on Allendale Road.

The opening is planned for before Christmas, according to co-owner Rich Galassini, who also thinks that business may double with the opening of the King of Prussia location.

“If you’re in the right location with the right services and offer a real breadth of product, which is what we do, there’s nobody within 100 miles that have the same kind of offerings,” he said.
