The Lankenau Medical Center is a 331-bed tertiary care, teaching hospital and research institute in Wynewood. Its Emergency Department is certified by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. Lankenau is a founding member of Main Line Health, a community-based not-for-profit health system.

Manager, Medical Department

This position provides ongoing expertise to assist the Department Chairman with medical staff issues and/or the credentialing and re-credentialing process. He/she coordinates the communication process for the Department/Training Program, and coordinates quality review process within the Department and/or Division of the Department. The person manages the financial accounts for the Departmental/Training Program budgets, and manages the coordinator(s) of the training program.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree – a Master’s Degree is preferred – and have five to ten years of experience in Medical Education. Previous management experience in same is highly desirable. The person must be well-versed in general operations of the organization, its mission, and strategic plan.

Site Manager, Patient Access

This position monitors and coordinates the operations of Patient Access Services within the hospital, including outpatient registration, PAT scheduling and IP/Short Procedure Preregistration, Admissions, Bed Control, ED registration, and decentralization registration areas. He/she develops and monitors the budget for all cost centers within their departments, and is responsible for expenditures and budget integrity. The person supports vision of customer service excellence through continuous training, education, feedback, and performance measurement of staff.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, and have three to five years of supervisory/management experience. Strong customer service background and solid computer skills are required. Experience working in a fast-paced hospital setting with patients and providers is also required. He/she must have a working knowledge of SMS, Registration computer processes, and email.

Manager, Access Center

This position manages all Access Center services, including the Coumadin Program, Nurse Triage, Document Management and Call Agent Specialists to support the Lankenau Heart Group (LGH). He/she will promote a positive patient, physician, and staff experience, as well as contribute to practice growth.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, and have medical practice management experience acquired through a minimum of five years of previous management experience or minimum of seven years of medical practice experience with full knowledge of all front-office procedures. The person should have excellent knowledge of third-party insurance plans (PPOs, HMOs, and Fee-for-Service) and the managed care environment.
