Montgomery County Careers – Houghton International

By

Houghton logoHeadquartered in Valley Forge, Houghton International is the world leader in industrial fluids, providing both high-tech metalworking and hydraulic fluid products and fluid management services almost since oil was discovered in Titusville, Pennsylvania in 1859. Today, as it continues to expand its global presence, product ingenuity, and service expertise, Houghton is still guided by the goals of its founders: to be the most successful and respected industrial specialty chemical company in the world.

Global Commercial Finance Analyst

Houghton has historically managed the company on a geographic basis – by country and region – and has adequate systems for financial reporting on this basis. As the industries it serves become more global, it is beginning to organize certain commercial functions on a global basis.

Houghton is just entering the discovery process on a new Business Intelligence tool to house all commercial transactions. This tool will allow Houghton to do reporting and analysis by industry, product, channel, and customer on a global basis.

The analyst role will be to issue the reports, do ad hoc analysis to understand business issues, and to support any needs of the Global Industry Leaders.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in business, math, finance, economics, or engineering. He/she should have experience working with large databases. The person should be an Excel and Access expert.
