Bala Cynwyd residents will now be able to benefit from the on-demand delivery services of Philadelphia-based goPuff, which has not only been aggressively expanding nationwide but also close to home, writes Kenneth Hilario of the Philadelphia Business Journal.

GoPuff delivers thousands of items, ranging from college essentials, party supplies, and smoking accessories to snacks, frozen foods, and household essentials.

According to Hilario, goPuff has signed a deal for a 4,000-square-foot warehouse in Roxborough that will cover Bala Cynwyd, as well as Manayunk and the City Live Avenue and Saint Joseph’s University areas.

“We’re extending our reach in the Greater Philadelphia market,” cofounder and CEO Rafael Ilishayev said. “We’re adding them because of popular demand. People are asking for it, so we decided it’s about time.”

The warehouse, which is located along Ridge Avenue, is under final construction, with most of the inventory already moved in.

The company also operates a separate on-demand, beer-delivery company called goBeer. The Roxborough warehouse initially will not have a beer selection, but it will once the company acquires a license to do so, which could happen within 90 days.
