The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board is not just marketing Montgomery County to tourists, although it aims to capitalize on the momentum created by Pope Francis’s visit to the region and the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

VFTCB is highlighting the many things residents of the area can enjoy.

In the following video, Edward Harris, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the VFTCB, discusses the myriad options both tourists and residents of Montgomery County can look forward to this summer.

“Since we have so much to offer here, we’re taking a unique approach and carving up our brands, and working to cater to each niche market,” said Harris, referring to things like shopping, golf, weddings, and patriot trails.

“We’re fortunate that Montgomery County was designated as one of the clusters where delegates [of the DNC] will be staying. We have a 20 hotels that will be filled up with delegates. We’re expecting a $17 million impact to the county.”
