Conshohocken’s Monetate Rebuilds to Help Retailers Innovate

Monetate's corporate headquarters in Conshohocken.

Monetate logoIt took an introspective reshuffling for Conshohocken-based software developer Monetate to be able to take retail clients to a new level of innovation in creating personalized user experiences.

That pioneering effort is now paying off.

“We were one of the first firms in our industry to retrench,” CEO Lucinda Duncalfe said of rebuilding Monetate’s tech development operation in a Philadelphia Inquirer report by Joseph DiStefano. “It’s fun when software development is working.”

Monetate has since landed high-profile clients like QVC, Best Buy, Office Depot, The North Face, National Geographic, DirecTV, Godiva, iRobot, and Kate Spade. And more growth is anticipated for Conshohocken, as the company likes to do most of its work with the talents of its own staff of about 200.

“We’re religious about doing it in house,” Duncalfe said in the article. “Most of the team is in Conshohocken, though homeworkers are accommodated.”
