William Howe
William Howe, 5th Viscount Howe, was a British general in the American Revolution. He led at Bunker Hill. He captured New York and Philadelphia after wins at Long Island and Brandywine. His 1777 choices hurt Burgoyne at Saratoga. He resigned in 1778 and later served in Britain.
