Franconia
Franconia is an unincorporated community in Franconia Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is located at the intersection of Pennsylvania Route 113 and Allentown Road.
Named after the German region of Franken, Franconia has a rich heritage rooted in German immigration and religious freedom. The community is known for its historical significance, including the Franconia Elementary School, which opened in 1941 and celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2016.
Franconia is also part of the Liberty Bell Trail project, a multi-use trail that follows the path of the historic Liberty Bell Trolley Route.
