The career and technical education center in Lansdale is seeking CDL Instructors to support its highly regarded Commercial Driver’s License training program. The part-time positions, available on weekdays and weekends, offer experienced drivers an opportunity to remain connected to the industry while making a meaningful impact on students preparing for careers in transportation and logistics.
The role represents a chance for drivers to pass along years of real-world knowledge to individuals entering a field that keeps the economy moving.
CDL Instructors at North Montco Technical Career Center provide hands-on training in critical areas of commercial driving, including pre-trip inspections, basic vehicle control skills, and on-the-road driving instruction. Working directly with students, instructors help build the confidence, safety awareness, and technical skills needed for success behind the wheel.
The position is ideal for seasoned CDL drivers who are looking to give back to the profession, transition into teaching, or supplement their income with a flexible part-time schedule. Weekend opportunities are available, providing additional flexibility for working professionals.
In addition to competitive pay and opportunities for growth, eligible employees who work 500 or more hours annually may qualify for benefits through the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS).
NMTCC is seeking candidates who hold a valid CDL Class A license, preferably with manual transmission experience, and have at least five years of documented driving experience. Successful candidates should also possess strong communication and customer service skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to obtain required pre-employment clearances.
