Montgomery County could soon be home to a new fast-casual concept not yet seen in the Philadelphia region, according to Emma Dooling for The Philadelphia Business Journal.
A local franchise group has signed a deal to bring six Chicken Salad Chick locations to the suburbs. The first is expected to open in Montgomery County. The Atlanta-based chain, known for its Southern-style chicken salad offerings, currently operates more than 330 locations across 22 states. None yet is in the Philadelphia market.
Franchisees, led by entrepreneur Amanda Furiato, are actively finalizing a lease for their first Montco site, with plans to open before the 2026 holiday season. Additional target areas include King of Prussia, Plymouth Meeting, and Collegeville. These towns are part of the county’s higher-traffic retail corridors.
The concept focuses on a menu built around a dozen varieties of chicken salad, along with sandwiches, soups, and sides. Furiato said the brand offers a lighter alternative to traditional fast food, filling what she sees as a gap in the local dining landscape.
Backed by a team with experience in franchising, hospitality, and law, the group is positioning the rollout as both a business expansion and a new dining option for area residents.
