David’s Bridal Introduces Fit Guarantee Amid Rise in GLP-1 Bridal Trends

King of Prussia-based David’s Bridal is launching a new Fit Guarantee program designed to reduce wedding dress anxiety.

As wedding trends continue to evolve, David’s Bridal is introducing a new program aimed at easing one of the biggest stresses brides face before the big day, writes Angeline Jane Bernabe for Good Morning America.

The King of Prussia bridal retailer announced a new “Fit Guarantee” service that launches May 12. The program will allow dresses purchased through David’s Bridal to be held closer to the wedding date and adjusted to ensure a proper fit.

The move comes as the bridal industry adapts to the growing popularity of GLP-1s. The weight-loss medications have reportedly led to more last-minute alterations and sizing uncertainty for brides.

CEO Kelly Cook said the company saw a 25 percent increase in rush orders and a 20 percent jump in brides purchasing gowns within eight weeks of their weddings.

Cook said brides are experiencing heightened “fit anxiety” as body changes become more common during the wedding planning process.

David’s Bridal says the guarantee will also apply to bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride dresses, as well as gowns purchased through partner boutiques.
