For more than three decades, Revivals Boutique in Ardmore has been the Main Line’s go-to destination for luxury consignment, carrying everything from Chanel handbags to Prada shoes, reports Jenn Frederick for FOX 29 Philadelphia.
Prices are one of the store’s main draws. A pair of leopard Manolo Blahnik shoes that typically retail for $1,265 is priced at $225.
There is something for every occasion at the store. A Stella McCartney bag, for instance, makes an ideal stadium bag for Sixers or Flyers games, as it complies with the size guidelines and measurement requirements. The white color also makes it a great fit for Eagles games.
Another perk of consignment pieces, particularly shoes, is that they are already broken in a bit and feel less precious due to the lower price. This means there is less hesitation in wearing them regularly, even on cobblestone surfaces.
“You don’t have to treat them as mint and save them, baby them,” said Cara Kahn of Revivals Boutique. “Wear them.”
Some pieces come in brand new with tags attached, as donors occasionally give away items they owned but never actually used.
