Montco Child Advocate Named Blue Ribbon Champion for Kids

Mission Kids’ Jane Kim earns statewide recognition for her work supporting child abuse victims and strengthening families in Montco.

A children’s advocate is being recognized statewide for her work protecting some of Montgomery County’s most vulnerable residents, according to a press release from Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center.

Jane Kim, director of client engagement and initiatives at Mission Kids, has been named a Blue Ribbon Champion for Kids by the Pennsylvania Family Support Alliance.

The award highlights Kim’s leadership in coordinating more than 1,200 child abuse cases annually, ensuring children receive trauma-informed care, advocacy, and support services.

Her work has helped build a comprehensive system designed not only to respond to abuse, but to prevent it and support long-term healing for families.

Kim has also led broader initiatives, including specialized training on human trafficking and trauma-informed practices, while working with law enforcement and policymakers to strengthen protections for vulnerable youth.

The recognition comes during National Child Abuse Prevention Month, underscoring the ongoing need for awareness and community support.

Also honored was Limerick Township Detective Ernie Morris for his role in strengthening collaborative child protection efforts across the region.
