Just before its one-year anniversary, Cerutti’s Sandwich Shop in Southampton has closed its doors permanently, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
The abrupt closure of the casual lunch shop was announced through the eatery’s voicemail greeting beginning March 22.
“Due to family health issues, Cerruti’s Sandwich Shop closed its doors Sunday, March 22,” said the recorded message. “Thank you for your support. We will miss the Southampton community.”
The message mentioned that the owners hope it won’t be the end of Cerruti’s for good.
The family-owned business was opened by father and son Domineco and Anthony Cerruti in the Redwood Plaza.
“My dad and my uncles used to own a deli in northeast Philly for 11 years called Cerruti Bros. Deli, but I was little when the deli was around,” said Anthony in an interview from 2025 ahead of the shop’s opening. “So now, it’s cool being able to work with him and learn everything about the business from him.”
Cerruti’s menu featured many recipes from Domineco’s deli, which included meatball subs, chicken parm, cheesesteaks, hoagies, smash burgers, onion rings, wings, ice cream, and more.
