Lower Merion High School figure skating duo Justin and Suri Lue have impressive talent on the ice and big Olympic dreams they hope to achieve, reports Krystle Rich for CBS News Philadelphia.
Justin and Suri began taking lessons eight years ago when they were nine and seven years old, respectively, training under Olympic coach Robbie Kaine.
The pair, thanks to their practices both before and after school, have each won gold twice in U.S. figure skating tests for skills and dance.
“Me and my mom – we’re always dancing around the house — and that’s allowed me to focus on the strength and power without having to worry about where my rhythm is at,” said Justin.
They began partnering a year and a half ago, and their skills have only improved since.
“They’ve become a brother-sister team. They’re really the future of our club,” said Fran Mycek, the general manager of the Philadelphia Skating Club.
They placed third in regionals and later came in sixth in the U.S. Figure Skating championships’ intermediate division in Nevada.
From there, the two headed to the 2026 National Development Team Camp to help further their Olympic dream, leading the way as the top pair in the camp.
