Shoppers at King of Prussia Mall are getting an early taste of spring and the Philadelphia Flower Show, writes Michaela Althouse for The Philly Voice.
A floral sculpture previewing the Philadelphia Flower Show is on display on the second floor of the mall’s luxury wing. This gives visitors a sneak peek at this year’s theme ahead of the show’s move-in at the Pennsylvania Convention Center later this month. The installation will remain on view through Monday, February 16.
The display features three nine-foot-tall wooden pedestals arranged in a pyramid formation and wrapped in flowers, mosses, and greenery. According to the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the triangular design represents how gardening traditions are passed from generation to generation, while also symbolizing community and creativity.
The sculpture ties directly into the 2026 Flower Show theme, “Rooted: Origins of American Gardening”. The show will explore the cultural, historical, and environmental foundations of gardening in the United States. It will serve as the final chapter in a three-year series examining the past, present, and future of horticulture.
While smaller in scale, the King of Prussia Mall installation reflects the artistry visitors can expect at the full show, including immersive gardens and historical-inspired displays.
Now in its 197th year, the Philadelphia Flower Show runs from February 28 through March 8, but Montco visitors can enjoy this early preview right now, no ticket required.
