Main Line Urgent Vet is Filling a Critical Gap for Local Pet Owners

A new vet urgent care in Ardmore offers same-day pet treatment, comfort rooms, and financial support for families in need.

A new veterinary practice in Ardmore is offering Montco pet owners a much-needed middle ground between routine vet visits and crowded emergency rooms, write Lauren Armstrong and Anne E. Hill for Main Line Today.

Main Line Urgent Vet opened this fall with a focus on treating urgent, but not life-threatening, pet needs. Dr. Robin Goyle and Dr. Jennifer Graham founded the clinic to address growing demand for same-day veterinary care that doesn’t overwhelm emergency facilities or leave families waiting days for appointments.

Both founders bring deep experience from general practice and emergency settings, and say the COVID-era surge in pet ownership exposed a long-standing gap in veterinary medicine.

Beyond medical care, the Ardmore clinic emphasizes comfort and compassion. The space features artwork from a local artist and includes thoughtfully designed comfort rooms for end-of-life care, complete with private exits and home-like settings to give families a more peaceful final moment with their pets.

One standout initiative is the clinic’s angel fund. It uses donations and fundraising to help cover lifesaving procedures for families who have exhausted all financial options. The goal is to make sure money is never the reason a beloved pet doesn’t get care.
