Adam Sandler’s Hustle featured a gym in Coatesville onscreen, while offscreen, the actor often dined at DanDan in Wayne, where owners Catherina and Kevin Huang adjusted several recipes to suit his taste, including a pork-free soup dumpling. He also sometimes stopped by Handel’s Ice Cream in Berwyn for a sweet treat.

The second season of the Netflix series Tires, created by comedian Shane Gillis, was filmed almost entirely at Tires Etc. on Gay Street in West Chester. In the show, the fictional Valley Forge Automotive Center is portrayed as having locations in Wayne and Springfield.

Created by Berwyn native Brad IngelsbyTask, the hit HBO crime thriller, featured Lefty’s Bar in Coatesville, along with several other Chester County locations such as Marsh Creek. It was recently selected for a second season.

Nearby, Pottstown will be the setting for Heaven & Earth Grocery Store, a movie adaptation of James McBride’s 2023 bestselling novel, with filming already set to begin soon.
