The College Settlement of Philadelphia in Horsham hosted its 2025 “Adventure Starts with Access” Gala, as announced in a press release.
The event raised more than $96,000 to fund camperships and outdoor education programs for children from under-resourced communities across the Greater Philadelphia region.
The gala took place on October 14 at The Manor House at Commonwealth. It honored State Representative Melissa Cerrato with the Outstanding Community Partner Award for her advocacy in youth empowerment, education, and inclusion.
Longtime board member David McCullough received the Anna Freeman Davis Founders Award in recognition of his leadership and years of dedicated service.
Guests enjoyed dinner, live music, and a spirited auction that helped drive record-breaking support for College Settlement’s century-old mission to ensure that nature and adventure are accessible to every child. “Funds raised from this year’s Gala will help us remove barriers to outdoor learning,” said Executive Director Giselle Cosentino.
Founded in 1922, College Settlement has introduced generations of children to the outdoors through its Horsham-based camps and environmental education programs that build confidence, curiosity, and community.
