Montgomery County Community College (MCCC), a respected public institution serving Blue Bell and Pottstown, is actively seeking dedicated professionals to join its collaborative and mission-driven team, with open roles such Part-Time Student Services Assistant and Part-Time Employee Development and Talent Management Coordinator.

Part-Time Student Services Assistant

The Part-time Student Services Assistant will provide support toboth new and returning students at the College as part of the College’s mission of access, retention, and completion, with responsibility for ensuring a high level of customer service through support of the Student Services Resource Center, duties at the Student Services Welcome Desk, support of the Enrollment Services Assistants and providing support in the Testing center.

This includes in-person and back-office duties. Service touchpoints will include the use of the following methods: in person; phone; email; text; online; chat Starfish; Zoom, and other Self-Service systems to support student success.

Hours are Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM-1:00 PM and Saturdays as needed. This position is 25 hours per week. During peak times, employee may work up to 29 hours.

*This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and offsite locations. The primary office location will be the Blue Bell campus.
**This position has been approved for a flexible work option arrangement. Flexible work options can be ended at any time by the College, Cabinet, and/or supervisors based on employee performance and/or as institutional needs change.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required with three years of work-related experience required or an associate’s degree may be preferred with one to two years of work related experience.
  • Proficiency in computer skills required.
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral required.
  • Specialized training in specific software or process may be required.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to use some discretion and judgment.
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented setting.

Part-Time Employee Development & Talent Management Coordinator

This position provides assistance in a broad range of supportive duties to the Employee Development & Talent Management. These duties consist of support in the areas of Performance Management, Training and Development, Faculty Success, Event Planning and other employee development functions as needed.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • Associate’s degree required.
  • Two to five years of office work experience required, preferably in a Human Resources environment.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Other MS Office products required.
  • Experience working with Colleague preferred.
  • Ability to display high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment.
