The 76, an annual list by The Philadelphia Inquirer, recently honored three Chester County spots as some of the most vital in the Philadelphia region, writes staff for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The 76 honors seventy-six Philly-area restaurants pushing boundaries to create a truly diverse and exciting dining scene throughout the city and suburbs. This year, eighteen Inquirer scouts investigated restaurants near and far to curate the unranked listing.
In the miles-wide investigation, three local restaurants in West Chester and Kennett Square were named three of the best in the greater Philadelphia area.
One honoree, Andiario, boasts a well-earned reputation for its use of the best Pennsylvania produce. The menu changes weekly, with menu items never revealed ahead of time.
Centering upscale Italian fare, the restaurant highlights ingredients from owner Anthony Andiario’s personal farm. Featured ingredients create fresh pastas, wood-fired meats, and more.
Nearby and new to The 76, Ground Provisions offers a completely plant-based menu with no shortage of flavor. Ingredients from local farms make the fixed, six course tasting menu fresh and creative.
Current menu items include white fig carpaccio, celeriac and spinach tortelloni, and stuffed delicata squash.
Finally, a Chester County fan-favorite was also new to The 76. The list named Talula’s Table in Kennett Square as one of the region’s best spots for its multi-course tasting menu.
Summer menu items included crabmeat in a corn mousse, pickled blueberries, and twelve-hour brisket in a barbecue sauce trio.
The local gem serves just two parties per evening, with reservations already booking out to May 2026.
