Cencora to Open Automated Distribution Hub in Ohio, Adding $14M Payroll

Conshohocken-based Cencora will create 140 high-paying jobs with a new automated distribution center in Ohio.

Conshohocken’s Cencora is expanding its reach with a major investment in the Cincinnati region, writes Brian Planalp for the Cincinnati Business Courier.

The global Pharmaceutical company announced plans to open a highly automated distribution center with cold storage in Harrison, Ohio. Cencora expects the expansion to generate 140 full-time jobs.

Each position will pay an average annual salary of $100,000, adding up to more than $14 million in new payroll for the community. Cencora will also receive a nine-year tax credit from Ohio, contingent on set hiring commitments.

The company has not yet disclosed the exact location of the new facility, but officials say that more details will be released soon.

For now, the project underscores both the scale of Cencora’s operations and its continued national growth.

The pharma giant employs more than 51,000 people across 151 global sites and reported $294 billion in revenue last year. Beyond distributing pharmaceuticals and health products, the company partners directly with biopharma innovators and pharmacies worldwide.
