Bryn Mawr College Offering Zero Tuition for Eligible Students Starting in Fall 2026

Bryn Mawr College is offering to cover 100 percent of undergraduate tuition for eligible students starting in fall 2026

As part of the Bryn Mawr Beacon Initiative, Bryn Mawr College is offering to cover 100 percent of undergraduate tuition for eligible students who will be starting in fall 2026, writes Matt Coughlin for KYW Newsradio.

The initiative builds on a 2024 program that eliminates federal student loan debt for students whose family income is under $110,000 and assets are below $500,000.

Cheryl Lynn Horsey, vice president for enrollment at Bryn Mawr College, noted that with the changes, students with family income of $175,000 or less are eligible for full tuition coverage in 2026.

“We have been leaning towards trying to make Bryn Mawr education affordable and accessible to more people who meet the admissions criteria of our institution,” she said. “And so this is sort of the culmination, at this point, of what we can do. … Create a space where students can realistically think about attending a liberal arts college.”

The college will cover any tuition increases after the first year.

The initiative has been made possible through the support of the school’s generous donors and internal resources.
