A Bryn Mawr mansion in Delaware County with an indoor pool and 18-seat movie theater is heading to auction Oct. 16 after sitting on the market for two years, writes Ryan Mulligan for Philadelphia Business Journal.
The home was custom-built in 2005, designed by architect Gordon L. Todd Associates and built by A.L. Hellman Custom Builders.
The 7,800-square-foot home on an acre-and-a-half property includes eight bedrooms and has a suggested starting bid of $2 million, with a reserve price of $2.5 million.
The property is owned by Dr. Veena Luthra and Bharat Luthra, It was first put up for sale in May 2023 for $2.99 million. List price has gone as high as $3.38 million.
Listing Agent R.J. Timlin with RE/MAX Reliance described the property as “unique.”
“It doesn’t fit the mold of a traditional [multiple real estate platform listing],” Timlin said.
The home has heated Calcutta marble floors, a pillared entrance, 30-foot ceilings, a two-story double-sided brick fireplace, an outdoor terrace space, a chef’s kitchen, and a lower-level banquet room and entertainment lounge.
It is located near the Radnor Valley Country Club and Overbrook Golf Club, backing up to Hill Top Preparatory School.
