Over the weekend, former Phillies pitcher Bobby Shantz marked his upcoming 100th birthday with a celebration in Ambler, according to a staff report from 6abc.
The Sunday festivities were attended by his family, friends, the Wissahickon Fire Department, Phillies ballgirls, and even the Phillie Phanatic.
As part of the event, the former player received a Phillies jersey with the number 100 as one of his many presents.
Shantz is the second-oldest living former Major League Baseball player.
