Montco is earning national recognition as one of the best places to live in the country, writes Kristine Villarroel for Business Insider.

Niche’s 2025 list of the top suburbs in the United States placed Penn Wynne at number 6 and Ardmore at number 5.

Located just west of Philadelphia, Penn Wynne boasts a close-knit atmosphere, leafy perks, and a highly rated public school system. It has a median home value of $532,200 and a median household income of $156,000. Penn Wynne is known for its welcoming community.

With a population just over 14,000, Ardmore balances urban convenience with suburban charm. The town is anchored by its bustling Suburban Square and diverse restaurants. Add to that its highly ranked schools, and it’s clear why Niche named it Pennsylvania’s second-best suburb in which to live.

Neighboring communities also made the list. Delco’s Swarthmore ranked number 20, and Chesterbrook in Chester County ranked as the best suburb to live in across the nation.
