MP Collective, a membership-based menopause center, is set to open in Bryn Mawr in September, writes Laura Brzyski for the Philadelphia Magazine.
Focused on helping individuals approaching or already in perimenopause and menopause, the new medical office will offer 90-minute visits designed for unhurried, personalized time with a doctor. Each member will have a comprehensive review of medical and family histories to guide recommendations, whether for a bone-density screening, hormone-replacement therapy, or other services.
“It’s very rare that someone comes in and only needs to talk about perimenopause or menopause for 10 or 15 minutes,” said MP Collective founder Kim Einhorn, a board-certified OB-GYN. “When I have visits with patients now, we also talk about what their nutrition and fitness regimens should be, what’s going on with their sleep and stress levels, and if they’re surrounding themselves with loved ones. All of those things are important to increasing your longevity.”
To complement its medical services, the Collective features a fitness center with an experienced trainer, as well as small-group classes in yoga, nutrition counseling, and emotional and sexual health coaching. Routine OB-GYN care is included for all members.
