Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) invites applications for the open positions of Advancement Services Coordinator, Full-Time Groundskeeper, and Maintenance Mechanic – 1st Shift.

Advancement Services Coordinator

The Advancement Services Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Director of Institutional Advancement, but maintains close working relationships with Advancement Staff, College IT Department, and Finance Department.

This position has primary responsibility for the management and oversight of data, information, analytics, and gift services for the MCCC Legacy Fund. These areas include the advancement database, advancement reporting, prospect management, gift recording and acknowledgment, data integrity, data security, and database training.

This position has been approved for a flexible work option arrangement. Flexible work options can be ended at any time by the College, Cabinet, and/or supervisors based on employee performance and/or as institutional needs change.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Eight or more years of related experience in fundraising, finance/accounting, database management, or equivalent combination.
• High level of computer literacy, especially with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access, and database report writing tools.
• The ability to learn Web-based search tools as well as the College’s integrated database system, and to train others.
• Successful experience managing multiple complex tasks and/or projects simultaneously while addressing the needs of the office.
• Proven ability to exercise reasoned, independent judgment while adhering to standard practices and policies.
• Strong preference given to candidates with advancement experience.
• Strong preference given to candidates with experience working in relational databases, especially Ellucian’s Colleague and Raiser’s Edge NXT.

Full-Time Groundskeeper

The Full-Time Groundskeeper creates and maintains the appearance of college grounds and building’s exterior.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

• High school diploma, GED, or 1-2 years of work-related experience required.
• Valid PA Driver’s License required.
• Must be physically capable of performing all duties of the job description.
• Must work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Proficient knowledge of and ability to operate tractors, mowers, dump trucks, and snow removal equipment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Acquiring and maintaining a PA Pesticide License Category 23 throughout employment.
• Must have a good sense of balance; required to work at various heights.
• Moderate physical strength is required.
• Common outdoor allergies should not inhibit job performance.

Maintenance Mechanic – 1st Shift

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing essential equipment in and around campus.

• High school diploma, GED, or one to two years of work-related experience required.
• Valid PA Driver’s License required.
• Must be physically capable of performing all duties in the job description.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read, write, and follow routine instructions.
• Ability to work within a team-oriented setting.
• Must be able to work in all climates and in all types of weather.
• Must be able to perform repetitive movements.
• Must be able to carry 80 lb. loads and support weight in sometimes awkward positions.
• Must be able to climb stairs and walk all areas of the campus.
• Must be able to identify colors.
