Assistant Director of Annual Giving

The Assistant Director of Annual Giving is responsible for planning, developing, and managing a comprehensive Annual Giving (gifts of less than $10,000) program with the MCCC (Pa) Legacy Fund, with the goals of engaging, cultivating and soliciting alumni, friends, faculty and staff, and students.

The Assistant Director will develop plans for the Annual Giving fundraising and will work closely with the College, MCCC (Pa) Legacy Fund Board of Directors, and Institutional Advancement Staff to identify, engage, and solicit and steward annual donor prospects for the College.

The Assistant Director will manage a targeted, multi-approach annual giving program, an annual giving faculty staff campaign, and other targeted annual programs such as direct mail aimed at increasing new and renewing donors and increasing donors to
the major gift level. The Assistant Director will recruit and engage students and student groups with the goal of creating a culture of philanthropy throughout the College.

The Assistant Director will manage Annual Giving programs such as Direct Mail Solicitations, Student Philanthropy, Day of Giving program, National Philanthropy Day program, and annual Faculty and Staff campaign, as well as other programs/projects as assigned.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of fundraising experience with a demonstrated record of successful direct mail and personal solicitation fundraising required, preferably in higher education.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, exceptional attention to detail.
  • Writing ability as well as excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information with complete confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with Raisers Edge NXT or similar development Donor Management systems.
  • Proficient as a user of office productivity software, preferably MS Office 365 Suite.
  • Ability to work on several projects concurrently, meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to develop relationships with donors/prospects and to work with volunteers.
  • Ability to work in a goal, metric, and deadline-driven, high-performing environment.

Dual Enrollment Pathways Program Manager

The Dual Enrollment Pathways Program Manager provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight of the Educational Partnerships dual enrollment team.

This role is responsible for managing all facets of dual enrollment programming, including the design and implementation of Academy program pathways, cultivation and recruitment of high school partnerships, course scheduling, student enrollment and retention strategies, matriculation planning, and targeted marketing initiatives. In addition, the Program Manager supervises the grant procurement efforts and oversees the administration and compliance of grant-funded activities.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of three years of higher education administrative/leadership experience, preferably at the community college level.
  • At least three years of experience working specifically with dual enrollment programming, preferably supervising a pathway-based model.
  • Experience in academic programs and initiatives, such as curriculum review and development.
    Minimum of three years of previous teaching experience at the collegiate level, preferably at a community college.
  • Ability to travel and work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity.
  • Understanding of the Community College mission/philosophy, practice, and population.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with administrative computer hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to creatively problem solve.
